LENT 1.

REFLECTION FOR THIS SEASON OF LENT

  • Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
  • Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
  • Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
  • Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
  • Fast from worries and have trust in God.
  • Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity.
  • Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
  • Fast from bitterness and fill your hearts with joy.
  • Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others.
  • Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
  • Fast from words and be silent so you can listen.

YEAR 1 EVANGELISATION

For the Year 1 Evangelisation Project, students from other years were invited to come and draw posters for Lent in the Hall. The posters were filled with images all about Easter and Lent.

It was a successful event which showcased the sacred symbols of Lent.

MEALS BY MUMS

Once again a group of mums will be volunteering their time for "Meals by Mums" cooking home style meals,  cooked my mums from the OLGC  Canteen and distributed to those in need by Shop Front WA.

We are looking to cook in week 5 of each term and looking for some new volunteers. You don't need to be available every term so any time you have available is welcomed.

The date for the first cook of this year is:

  • Wed 25th March 2020
  • Where: OLGC Canteen
  • Time:     9am - 1pm

If you can donate one morning per term and are interested in helping, please contact Josephine on  0409 835 560.

Thank you.

FUNDRAISER CAKE STALL

Congratulations to Geneva Gooch who ran a cake stall in the Karrinyup Community by herself and raised $172.80.

The proceeds will be split between the Smith Family and the Animals of Bush Fire Relief.

Geneva designed and organised the Flyer drop and baked 'most' of the sweets with a little help from Dad.

Well done Geneva for thinking of others in need.
